Dramatic Chain Jewelry Tutorials

Chain is popular this year. Lots of it. Sometimes deliberately messy masses too - check out the link below.

A number of bloggers have oohed and aahed over Chanel's 2011 jewelry collection. It is a must see for some fabulous chained statement designs. Here are some tutorials to get you chained up like rock stars!

Maegan not only spotted the Chanel collection but also the Dolce and Gabbana Fall Collection's emphasis on drama and gilt.

So she came up with her super easy Gilded Gemstone and Tassel Chain necklace tutorial. The focal is actually a gorgeous bejeweled shanked button from Jo-Ann's.

Her instructions explain how to attach the chains.  You can use a regular clasp rather than the leather cord tie for the back. She also showed other ways to wear this fabulous necklace!

You want more drama ? Then Erica over at P.S. I Made This has drama a-plenty for you with her L stands for Long and Luxe earrings tutorial she created.

I also love Bev's Shepherd Moon Necklace tutorial over at the Flamingo Toes blog. It was inspired by an Anthro necklace but I much prefer her version.

Another variation of the large link focal idea is Beadaholique's Chain, Chain, Chain necklace . It speaks for itself!

Corinne Leigh who started Craftovision created not just one but 3 awesome pieces in her DIY Rocker Chain Jewelry video tutorial. They look even better when modeled by Corinne so be sure to check out the video. The second herringbone necklace is spectacular if somewhat labor intensive. The inspiration came from one of the pieces in the Fenton/Fallon Spring 2011 collection. This is another must see - check out this fan post.

BeadCrafty's Gift Certificate Giveaway Winner

Posted: 08 Nov 2011 10:05 AM PST

Admit it. Many of you are beadaholics.  The lure of extra beads and lust for some of the delicious beads featured in last week's BeadCrafty's $85 (£50) gift certificate giveaway were just too much for some of you!

Many thanks for all your interest and kind comments for this new start-up. Their no and low-cost shipping approach was a big hit and bodes well for their future success.

I was a little late with this one but I finally numbered all the entries and consulted random.org. The winning number belonged to  Susan Whelan also known as Moushka.  Congratulations!  Your new beads will soon be arriving!
