Easy Wire Work Bracelet Tutorials

Posted: 04 Apr 2012 04:00 AM PDT

There are many really good wire artisans out there. But if you are still a relative beginner, take heart! Just because the wire won't bend to your will, doesn't mean you cannot create wire work bracelets. Here are some easy designs which are not only easy but forgiving.

First up is Kei 's wonderful bead wrapped cuff tutorial on Unfortunately Oh! which gives you a chance to get that informal and funky look.

Ornamentea's super wire wrapped beady bangle tutorial  is yet another version of what I call relaxed wire work. The designer includes the instruction on how to make the hook.

Another fun and quick design is Shala Kerrigan's Wire Beaded Bangle tutorial over on BellaOnline. You can easily make several of these at one sitting. The wire doesn't have to be wound evenly thus giving its own charm.

For those of you who prefer a more formal style, check out Eva Sherman's caged wire wrap beads bracelet tutorial.  Making the wire spirals is good practice!

Doreen Kulich of Half Moon Road Designs shared her recycled copper wire bracelet tutorial on the Trashn2tees blog.  It is a very simple wrapped bangle design with a bit of hammering. You could always coil the wire ends or do a beaded flourish if you don't like the plain hammered ends. Doreen recycled electrical wire but you could use regular wire too.
